Behind on updates...I know....
Finally, an update to y blog. For some reason I couldn't motivate myself to make an entry. I guess it's because I've been working alot lately and on top of that, my mind has been focused on my trip to DC this weekend. More about that later....
The last two weeks at work have been long. I've worked over 100 hours. I also had to work on the 4th of July. Thank god for overtime and getting paid time and a half. Last week, I worked six days straight. I had to pick up an opening shift on a Saturday (my day off and worked 4:45a - 2:00p). Then back to my regular work schedule the next day (Sun - Thur 3:30p - 11:30p or later). I don't think I can do an opening shift again. I was so exhausted after working opposite shifts.
My birthday was this past sunday (July 11th) and yet I still had to work on that day. I didn't really do anything on Friday night, but on Saturday night night, I went out with friends. We started the night at Central Station (gay club) and decided the placed sucked after awhile as it usually does. The DJ there pretty much only plays what he wants and not what the customers want to hear. So, we headed over to Chicago (striaght club on the riverfront). We stayed there until after 5am and had a blast. I havent had that much fun in a long time.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! :P
It is now three days until I leave for DC. My off time is to be spent to finalize plans and get everything together for the trip. Everything has been working out so far, except for work. I gave them three weeks, if not four weeks advance notice and they still have not given me a definite answer. I explained to them that a friend of mine got me the tickets for the trip as a surprise birthday gift. My boss is saying that we might not have enought staff the cover one of the days that I am going to be gone. I told her that I am willing to work one or two of my days off when I get back to make up for the days that I miss. I guess I'll find something out within the next few days. I'm hoping to hear the answer that I want to hear. :P If not, I'm just going to have to postpone the trip and reschedule. UGH! I have been looking forward to this trip for way to long.
Well, that's it for now. More to come.....

Ice Cream Man Accused of Impregnating Girl, 9
Holly Johnson / The Arizona Republic
Jun. 30, 2004 12:00 AM
A Maryvale man suspected of sexually assaulting and impregnating a 9-year-old Phoenix girl lured the youngster into his ice cream van and threatened to kill her mother if the child told, police said.
Adrian Cruz Gonzalez, 22, reportedly knew the child's mother and would take the girl along as he sold ice cream in west Phoenix neighborhoods, Phoenix police Detective Tony Morales said.
Police believe Gonzalez assaulted the child at least once in his van and at his apartment in the 4600 block of West Hubbell Street.
The girl eventually told her mother, who reported the incident to police, Morales said.
Medical tests confirmed the girl is pregnant, but carrying the baby to term could be life-threatening, police said.
Gonzalez was booked Tuesday into Madison Street Jail and faces two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and two counts of kidnapping, Morales said.
Other charges are pending.
I don't really know what to say about this, but I don't think this girl was expecting that kind of creamsicle. Hmmm, and getting pregnant at age 9? Isn't that a bit early to be hitting puberty?

Janet Jackson gets a little too personal
Janet Jackson gets a little too personal

Janet Jackson gave a surprise performance at a gay-pride concert this weekend, and although the exhibitionist singer didn’t bare a breast, she did reveal a little more about her sex life than people needed to know.
The diva wore a white outfit and looked fabulous, according to attendees at Dance 18, a concert that was part of Pride Week in New York City.
“At one point, she said something like, ‘Who out there is a bottom? Raise your hand,” says a source. “And then after some people in the audience raised their hands, she raised hers too, and started giggling. The crowd went absolutely wild.”
Wow! Who would have thought? Anyone think Justin got a piece of that ass after the Superbowl? hehe :P

April's Birthday
HAPPY BIRTHDAY APRIL! Today, my best friend April is turning 28. You can wish her a Happy Birthday at JPrill27@aol.com. :)
back to work.....
Yesterday was my first day back to work and yes, it seemed like the typical first day back at work after my two days off. The first part of the day went well, but as the day progressed, it got worse. The last flights were late, which always seems to be an occurance with American Eagle (AE) and Delta Connection carrier ASA. The last two flights were ASA flights. One from Dallas and the other from Atlanta. Both were almost 4 hours later, due to mechanical problems and weather. I fnally ended up getting off work at 3:45am, when I was scheduled to get off at 11:30pm. But hey, it's overtime. Can't argue with that. :)
Today was better than yesterday. I actually got off work only 30 minutes late. Work was at it's usual pace and I was able to finish reading a book that a friend suggested I read. The name of the book is 'The Best Little Boy in the World' by John Reid. It's the author's own account of growing up gay in America. I'd have to say it was a really good book.

saturday evening.....
Here I am sitting at my friend Bob's place waiting on his roommate to get ready to go out. The three of us are meeting some other friends at Chili's for dinner. Our friend Casey works there and he his working in drag tonight. Now, I'm not one for drag, but he does a pretty good job and I want to see the looks on the other customer's faces as 'she' works their tables. Not sure what the plans are for after dinner. I definately DO NOT want to go to the club here. The club here just sucks, what can I say...it going downhill from what it used to be. BLAH! Gotta go for now. bye.

Weekend is just beginning......
Sitting here at home chatting with friends and listening to Energy Arizona. It's their Thursday night live mix show from FLUX in phoenix. This has got to be one of the best dance stations in the US. It's an FM station based out of Phoenix, AZ on two freqs: 92.7 and 101.1. They have a live real-time 128k stream of what is being broadcast on the FM airwaves. Go to their website to check them out.
Today is the first of my two days off. No plans as of yet. My friend Richard has a layover here tonight. We may hang out. He is a flight attendant for American Eagle. I've known him since I used to live in Little Rock.
So, last night, my trip to DC for my bday got one step closer to becoming reality. And it doesn't look like I'm going to be taking the bus out there after all. I'll just leave it at that. When the trip gets closer, I will release more info. I will say that my trip to DC is a birthday present to myself. :P BTW, my birthday is July 11th. Anyone feel like guessing how old I'm gonna be?
First Blog posting.....24JUN04 3:31am
So, I finally decided to start a blog, after viewing my best friend, Phoenix's blog for the past year or so. I hope to keep it updated on a regular basis. We will just have to see how things go. :)
I thought yesterday was going to just be a normal day. The last few days, I've been getting off work late. My normal work schedule is Sunday-Thursday 3:30p-11:30p, but I have been getting off about 1:30a every morning. I'm getting used to it. I don't mind the extra hours. It's overtime on my paycheck and I don't see anything wrong with that. More money to spend :P Oh yeah, in case your wondering, I am a rental sales agent with Avis Car Rental here in town. It's a laid back job. I get paid good money to sit on my ass and do some work occasionally. Who could ask for a better job?
So, like I was saying at the beginning, I thought yesterday was going to be a normal day at work, but my ex, Felix (my first boyfriend), called me at work. I haven't talked with him on the phone in a long time, since last year some time. And the last time we saw each other in person was in June 2000, when I was living in Little Rock and he came to visit. He just recently went from active duty to reserves in the US Air Force and moved to Washington, DC from Italy where he was previously based. We talked for awhile, and he gave me his new contact info. We've remained good friends throughout the years. He is a good friend and will always have a place in my heart. That will never change and he knows it. :)
I can't beleive that I am still up this late. I need to go to bed soon. It's 3:44am. Tommorow is my last day at work this week. YAY! Then it's the weekend for me. I'll keep ya posted on what the happenings are.....
